Kinnaird Head Castle Lighthouse and the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses

The Kinnaird Head site is managed independently by the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses and Historic Scotland Members or Explorer Pass holders do not presently receive free entry to the site.

Admission

Tickets must be booked in advance via the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 5 go free. 

Please note, Historic Scotland Members retail and café discount is not eligible at the Lighthouse.

Opening times

1 April to 30 September: Daily, 10am to 5pm (last entry 4pm).

1 October to 31 March: Daily except Mon & Tue, 10am to 4pm. Guided tour only (tours last 45mins).

The wine tower is currently closed for conservation works. 
21 December to 22 January.

Adverse weather or other reasons beyond our control may cause a site to close. We advise checking ahead if the forecast is poor or you are making a long journey. Current unexpected and short term closures.
