Opening times

Call 01346 511 022 or visit the Lighthouse Museum website for current opening times.

The large, level tarmac car park next to the museum has accessible bays marked.

Visitor centre

The museum is fully accessible, with a wheelchair lift to the first floor and café.

The lighthouse and lighthouse cottages are 200m from the museum along a tarmac path.

Entry to the lighthouse is over a 15cm-high step. It is explored by climbing a spiral staircase of more than 200 steps (no handrail).

The top level, which houses the lantern, is reached via a narrow wooden ladder (with handrail).

The lighthouse cottages are all on the ground level. Each has a raised threshold at its entrance. You can ask a museum steward to arrange ramped access.

The museum has an adapted toilet.
