What to expect on your visit

The castle grounds and some areas of the ground floor are open for you to explore.

Most internal areas of the castle won't be accessible while vital conservation work is ongoing. Admission is free of charge while restrictions are in place.

Last entry and closures

  • Lunch: 12.30pm to 1pm
  • Last entry: 30 minutes before closing
  • Closed: 1 October to 31 March
