Visits to the house

Visits to the house are by guided tour only.

Tours run on Saturdays through the summer from 4 April to 19 September (excluding 16 May, 6 June and 5 September).

Tour times:

  • 10am

  • 11am

  • 1pm

  • 2pm

  • 3pm (family friendly slot)

Tours last approximately 45 minutes and must be booked in advance.

Without a tour, you can explore the outside of the house and surrounding estate. It boasts 2000 years of history with a large historic parkland and the Kinneil Museum.

Kinneil House is on the western edge of Bo'ness, off the A904 (Grangemouth Road).

Parking

Limited parking available in estate, or park outside the estate at busy times. Please follow the signage as you enter the grounds. Parking is in the field immediately on your right as you enter the grounds. Please do not park on the grass in front of the house.

Kinneil House Access (tour days only)

Access to interior/ground floor is via two steps. The rest of the house is via spiral staircase. 

Toliets

There are no public toilets at Kinneil House. The nearest accessible toilets are at the public library in Bo'ness (5 minutes from Kinneil House by car, 30 minutes on foot).
