Parking at Urquhart Castle

Please note, there is limited visitor parking available at Urquhart Castle. Parking for cars and coaches must be booked in advance. Parking for vehicles like campervans and mini buses cannot be booked in advance.

Car parking (vehicles under 4.5m in length)
Parking is free, but must be booked online in advance with your visitor ticket.

Larger vehicle parking (4.5-6m. For example, campervans and mini buses)
Larger vehicles should be parked in the area designated by the car park stewards. There is no booking facility for larger vehicles and availability is not guaranteed. Parking spaces for larger vehicles are very limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Coach parking
Coach parking is reserved for trade partners. Trade partners must reserve their spaces via their trade account or by contacting trade@hes.scot.

Arriving by boat

Please note, there is currently no access to the castle by private boat while we carry out repairs to the jetty.

We recommend booking your tickets online in advance for the best price and to guarantee entry.

Apr to Aug: Daily, 9.30am to 8pm (last entry 7pm)

Sept: Daily, 9.30am to 6pm (last entry 5pm)

Oct: Daily, 9.30am to 5pm (last entry 4pm)

Nov to Mar: Daily, 9.30am to 4.30pm (last entry 3.30pm)
