Carers' tickets

Visitors with disabilities are charged standard admission rates (adult/concession/child). Proof of disability is not required. Up to two accompanying carers receive free entry per transaction.

Dogs

Assistance dogs are permitted at all our sites and within roofed areas.  

Visitors' dogs are allowed at Seton Collegiate Church, but are not permitted in roofed areas. 

Parking

The car park is surfaced with smooth tarmac and spaces clearly marked. There are two accessible bays. 

Approach to site

The site is about 150m from the car park along an earth and tarmac path which can be very muddy in wet weather. There is a single deep stone step into the site (Portable Ramp available).

Visitor centre

Access to the visitor centre is by a small concrete step up with no handrail.

Monument

Entry to the church is across a short stretch of unconsolidated gravel and up a single stone step and through double
wooden doors. Portable ramp available. Inside the nave is level.

There are two small stone steps up into the choir, and one step into the sacristy. Portable ramp available.

Outside, across a cut grass lawn and a consolidated gravel drive, are the:

• ruins of the priests’ quarters

• carved stone shelter

Toilets

Access to the toilets is down a set of rough earth cut stairs with no handrail. Nearest adapted toilets are 1.5 miles away at:

Lothian and Borders Police, 113 High Street, Tranent.
