Tour the castle with our audio guide, using your own mobile phone or one of our devices. Pre-book your audio guide when you purchase your tickets online.
If using your own device, you'll receive an email before you arrive showing you how to access the guide. Please make sure you have:

- access to a web browser like Google Chrome or Safari
- access to internet through your mobile data provider
- your own headphones
Adult £3, Concession £2, Child £1. Free for Historic Scotland Members and a 20% discount for Explorer Pass holders.
Available languages: English (audio described version is free of charge), Gaelic, French, German and Spanish.
Print versions of the audio guide are available in both large print and Open Dyslexic large print. These are also available to download onto your own device. Please ask a member of staff at the entrance for a copy.

- Historic Scotland members get free entry to our sites, but please make an online booking to guarantee entry. You must show your valid membership on arrival.
- Not a Member? Join now to start enjoying the benefits.
- Half price entry in your first year for English Heritage, Manx and Cadw members and free entry for renewal and life members.
- Free entry for carers who accompany visitors with disabilities. Tickets are limited to two carers per transaction.
- £1 entry with valid Young Scot Card shown on arrival
- Free entry for current members of the British Armed Forces. Book online using the HM Forces ticket type. You will need to show a valid MOD 90 card on arrival. Free entry only applies to the serving member.
- 25% off the standard Adult, Child, or Concession admission price when you book online and arrive car-free by train, bus or bike. Book with code GOOD25 and show your bus/train ticket or bike on arrival.

Closing times for independent museums vary. The Regimental Museum closes 45 minutes before the castle.
