Prices & times
Kisimul Castle is closed until further notice to allow for conservation works, but you can call in to Castlebay Hall and find out more about the castle from our staff. You can also get closer to the castle by taking a short boat trip around Castlebay.
Admission prices
Free of charge, but numbers are limited and you must book in advance to guarantee access to a tour.
Opening times
Visitor Engagement Area:
16 April to 12 September: Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Closed for lunch 12 noon to 1pm.
Boat Trips:
17 April to 12 September: Thursday to Saturday, tours at 10.30am, 11.15am, 12 noon, 1.45pm, 2.30pm, 3.15pm and 4pm.
Tours leave from the Castlebay Marina Car Park.
Closures
Kisimul Castle is not accessible.
Visitor Engagement Area and boat trips, closed from 13 September to 15 April.
Adverse weather or other reasons beyond our control may cause closures/cancellations. We advise checking ahead if the forecast is poor or you are making a long journey. Current unexpected and short term closures.
