Guided tours of Argyll's Lodging run on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 2.30pm until 4pm.

Strong footwear is recommended, as the tour includes uneven surfaces, stairways and low, narrow doorways.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £13 for children (£13.50 / £11.70 for Historic Scotland members). Children under 7 and carers receive free entry, but a ticket is required.

Tickets do not include entry to Stirling Castle. Please purchase tickets separately.

Parking

There are five accessible parking spaces about 65m from the castle entrance. 

Approach to site

A courtesy vehicle can take visitors with mobility difficulties down the steep slope to Argyll’s Lodging. Access to the ground floor is through a side gate and via the gardens.

Monument and tour

Strong footwear is recommended, as the tour includes uneven surfaces, stairways and low, narrow doorways.. There is external walk of around 150 meters through a graveyard. There is no lift available on site.

The ground floor, which includes the hall and kitchens, is mainly level. The upper floor, which includes the dining room and chambers, is reached via a historic wooden staircase of 18 steps with a handrail on one side.

Toilets

There is an adapted toilet on site.

Assistance dogs are permitted at all our sites and within roofed areas.
