Hear some wondrous stories from professional storytellers under the awe-inspiring peak of Arthur’s Seat. A ranger will lead you to several tranquil spots throughout Holyrood Park to meet the storytellers. Each of them has their own unique style, repertoire and take on stories old and new.

Contact

  • Meeting place: Broad Pavement Car Park, Queen's Drive, EH8 8AZ. Meeting point is next to the entrance of the car park on the grass verge opposite the car park kiosk
  • Grade: Moderate. Contains rough tracks, uneven and boggy terrain, steep inclines and declines
  • Route: Hunter's Bog/Volunteers' Walk/Camstane area. This may change. The route may not be suitable for disabled people, contact the Ranger Service for more information.
  • Age: This walk may not be suitable for children under 12 years
  • What to Bring: Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. A snack and a drink
  • Toilets: are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself
  • Parking: Broad Pavement Car Park (off Queen's Drive, next to Holyrood Palace). Parking charges apply. Free for blue badge holders
  • Road closures: Holyrood Park roads are closed every Saturday and Sunday. Local roads and car parks may be subject to closures. Please contact the Ranger Service or call 0131 652 8150 for more information
