Visits are by guided tour only.

Tours will depart from the new Maeshowe Visitor Centre (at Stenness). It is strongly recommended to reserve tickets online to avoid disappointment.

Member/Explorer Pass holder: FREE
Adult: £6.00
Child aged 5–15: £3.60
Child under 5: FREE
Concession: £4.80

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Concession price: this applies if you can show proof that you’re aged 60+ or unemployed.

Admission prices are subject to change.

It is strongly advised that everyone books a tour in advance to guarantee entry.

This also applies to Historic Scotland Members and Explorer/Orkney Pass holders), but entry is free as normal, please go to Tour Reservations to book your tour.  

Young Scot Card Holder Offer

To celebrate the Year of Young People 2018, our sites across Scotland are lowering their drawbridges and opening their gates and offering £1 entry to Young Scot card holders. Tickets can be bought online in advance or on arrival at the site (a valid Young Scot card must be shown).

Visits are by guided tour only. 

Tours are hourly and start at 10am with the last tour at 4pm. All visitors must check-in at the visitor centre 15 minutes before their tour start time. 

Evening tours will also be available Tuesday to Saturday in June, July and August from 6pm with the last tour departing at 8pm.

Tours depart from the new Maeshowe Visitor Centre (at Stenness), postcode KW16 3LB. Visitors will be taken by coach to Maeshowe.
