Parking at Doune Castle

Please note, there is limited visitor parking available at Doune Castle and due to current works, the car park can only operate at half capacity at the moment.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate motorhomes, campervans or caravans in the car park.

We have two accessible bays, which are available on a first come first served basis.

We have limited parking for small minibuses (up to 16 seat/2m wide x 4m long), but these must be booked in advance. Larger coaches should arrange drop-off and pick-up in Doune village and use the upgraded footpaths through the Roman fort site to access the castle.

Alternative parking is available within the village of Doune. If these car parks are full, there is some on-street parking, but please be considerate to local residents.

Park & Stride

A Park & Stride (postcode: FK16 6HF) is available to the West of Doune village, and this map and directions give two options to walk to the castle.
