Advice and Support

Can we help?

If you require some more information for your community activity, then we may be able to provide additional advice

This additional HES assistance can involve cross-organisational advice on:

  • Understanding the heritage of your object, place or site
  • Suggestions on developing engagement around why people value your heritage asset, assisting in considering appropriate decisions about how to look after it in the future
  • Identify the potential for finding creative solutions and avoiding harmful impacts when adapting heritage assets
  • Engaging with staff, volunteers, visitors and the local area
  • Sharing case studies on similar projects across the country providing insights and different perspectives on developing heritage projects and activities
  • Additional direction on appropriate funding avenues and community focused funding initiatives
  • Groups or individuals who are seeking advice or support should get in touch via the mailbox to start a conversation, letting us know what the challenge is and what support is being sought

Please contact us at developmentandcommuity@hes.scot providing some detail on your query and one of the team will get back to you.
