Join us for a Hallowe’en and All Saints’ Day themed walk, uncovering the light and dark sides of Holyrood Park’s history of saints and sinners. Hear chilling tales of criminals, pestilence and murder, as well as the lives of the holy men and women of Holyrood throughout the centuries.
Good to know
- Meeting point: Broad Pavement Car Park, next to the entrance of the car park on the grass verge opposite the car park kiosk (Queen's Drive, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh EH8 8AZ)
- Grade: Moderate. Route has some rougher paths and elevation.
- Route: St. Anthony’s Chapel, Hunter’s Bog, Duddingston Low Road, Duddingston Village. This may change. Please note that this walk has a non-circular route and ends at Duddingston Village. Route may not suitable for disabled people - rough tracks and steep inclines.
- Age: This walk may not be suitable for children under 16 years
- Bring: Warm/waterproof clothing, sturdy footwear with good grips, a snack and a drink
- Toilets: are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself
- Parking: Broad Pavement Car Park (off Queen's Drive, next to Holyrood Palace). Charges apply Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 5.30pm (except public holidays). Free for blue badge holders
- Road Closures: Holyrood Park roads are closed every Saturday and Sunday. Local roads and car parks may be subject to closures
- Dogs: are not permitted except assistance dogs
