Good to know

  • Meeting point: Broad Pavement Car Park, Queen's Drive, EH8 8AZ. Meeting point is next to the entrance of the car park on the grass verge opposite the car park kiosk
  • Grade: Easy. Route contains rough tracks, uneven and boggy terrain, steep inclines and declines that may be difficult for wheelchairs and buggies. Please contact the us if you have any access requirements and we will do our best to adapt the walk accordingly.
  • Age: Aimed at children aged 5 and over, but younger children also welcome to attend
  • Bring: Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. A snack and a drink. In hot weather bring a hat, sun cream and a drink.
  • Toilets: are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself
  • Parking: Broad Pavement Car Park (off Queen's Drive, next to Holyrood Palace). Parking charges apply, Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 5.30pm. Free for blue badge holders
  • Road closures: Holyrood Park roads are closed every Saturday and Sunday. Local roads and car parks may be subject to closures.
  • Dogs are not permitted except assistance dogs
