In 1917 Davie Kirkwood was arrested and brought to Edinburgh Castle as a prisoner. He was opposed to Britain’s involvement in World War I and along with others in the Red Clydeside Movement proved a thorn in the side of the Government. 

Older, and perhaps a little wiser now, he looks back on his life.
