The chosen images exhibited at Industry + Aesthetics represent so much of who we are: the everyday life, the exceptional worker, the marginalised group, the ignored and undervalued people and places within our industrial heritage. These photographs were chosen as a result of a ‘crowd sourcing’ exercise, where participants were invited to reflect emotionally on a range of industry-themed images. Their reactions ranged from beauty to fear.
Through challenging visual and emotional displays, the Industry + Aesthetics exhibition invites the viewer to consider their own national heritage by experiencing the industrial spaces of Scotland.
