1 Overview

Our Explorer Pass is a flexible and cost-effective way for groups and individuals to discover any of our 77 staffed attractions. For each day that a pass is valid, its owner can visit as many of our locations as they like – for no additional cost.

You will earn 20% commission on all sales of our Explorer Pass. Passes can be included as part of a tour package or offered as an optional add-on.

How it works

A 3-day pass can be used on any 3 days within a 5-day period. A 7-day pass is for any 7 days within a 14-day period.

A pass is activated on its first use. Multiple sites can be visited on any single day. Any specific site can be visited only once.

3 Group Explorer Pass

Save yourself time and trouble with a Group Explorer Pass. Get a single pass to cover an entire group rather than issue and validate an individual pass for each guest.

Our Group Explorer Pass offers all of the same great benefits as our standard Explorer Pass – including the same competitive commission rates. But it can make your job much easier.

4 Regional Explorer Pass

For groups and individuals keen to explore a particular region of Scotland, we offer four different Regional Explorer Passes. Each lets the pass holder visit all of the region’s Historic Scotland properties over 30 days. 

You can buy Regional Explorer Passes for Dumfries and Galloway, Orkney, the Scottish Borders and the Western Isles. We offer trade customers 10% commission on Regional Explorer Passes.

Passes are valid for 30 consecutive days. A pass is activated on its first use. A number of sites in each region will close over winter. Visitors should check opening dates and times before visiting.
