There is a Pay and Display public car park 75m from the abbey and electric charging points are available (run by Scottish Borders Council) with two accessible bays, but this can be busy during summer months. There is also on-road parking nearer to the site.

Opening times

The full abbey precinct will be closed 27 March to 2 April while we carry out refurbishments in the ticket office and shop. From 3 April, the abbey grounds, cloister and museum will reopen. 

1 Apr to 30 Sept:
Daily, 10am to 5pm
Last entry 4.30pm

1 Oct to 31 Mar:
Daily, 10am to 4pm
Last entry 3.15pm
