Prices and opening times
Due to access restrictions in place as a precautionary measure while we undertake high level masonry inspections, there is currently no visitor access inside the abbey or to the west of the island. Find out more about our conservation work
The grounds to the East, the exhibition area and shop are open.
Access to Inchcolm Island is free while restrictions are in place, but tickets for the passenger ferry to the island will need to be purchased.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
1 April to 31 October:
Thursday to Monday, 10am to 4pm
Access to parts of the island may be restricted between May and August when some seabirds aggressively protect their young.
1 November to 31 March
Adverse weather or other reasons beyond our control may cause a site to close at short notice.
