Access information
Duffus Castle is an unstaffed site.
Visitor parking is located 15 metres from the entrance to the site.
Visitors using wheelchairs and their companions are able to access the site by using a RADAR key to open the padlocks on the two gates over the modern bridge across the moat (other visitors are encouraged to use the old bridge around 180m around the moat). Once over the bridge, access to the site is by paths cut into long grass. The site is steep and uneven and there is a particularly steep incline up to the castle. We’d ask that all visitors please follow on site signage at areas where we’re trying to manage erosion.
There are no toilet facilities available at the castle.
