From time to time the roads and car parks in Holyrood Park are closed due to external events.

Upcoming external events
Movember Run
On Saturday 22 November, 1.5km, 5km, 10km and half marathon charity races will be held in Holyrood Park. Broad pavement car park will be closed from 6am.
New Years' Day Triathlon
On 1 January, Edinburgh Triathlete’s triathlon will include 11 miles of cycling and 3.5 miles of running through Holyrood Park.
Standard weekend road closures will be in place, along with Holyrood Park Road.
Holyrood parkrun
Holyrood parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event orgnaised by parkrun volunteers. It takes place every Saturday at 9:30am.
Participants are invited to walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate on course which follows the High Road around Arthur's Seat, past Dunsapie Loch and through the Galloping Glen. With the beautiful park scenery and panoramic views of Edinburgh, it's rightly lauded as one of the most scenic parkruns in the UK.

Noise control
We acknowledge the proximity of some of the event sites to local residences and endeavour to do everything possible to minimise disruption.
Should there be any noise issues with an event please contact the Environmental Health Team at The City of Edinburgh Council. During normal office hours please call 0131 608 1100 or email asknoise@edinburgh.gov.uk. If you are disturbed in the evening or at the weekend, call Licensing Standards Officers on 0131 200 2000.
We’re happy to hear from organisers who’d like to run public events at Holyrood Park. We’ll work with you to help keep the park special and safe for everyone.
