Trees in Summer
Join a Ranger on a free guided walk to discover some of the Park's wonderful trees and learn about their ecology and folklore.
Good to know
- Meeting place: Broad Pavement Car Park, Queen's Drive, EH8 8AZ. Meeting point is next to the entrance of the car park on the grass verge opposite the car park kiosk
- Grade: Easy.
- Route: Volunteers’ Walk, Camstane, Hunter’s Bog, St. Margaret’s Loch. This may change. The route is wheelchair accessible although does involve rough tracks and slopes. Please contact us if you have any access requirements and we will do our best to adapt the walk accordingly.
- Age: This walk may not be suitable for children under 8 years
- Bring: Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. A snack and a drink
- Toilets: are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself
- Parking: Broad Pavement Car Park (off Queen's Drive, next to Holyrood Palace). Charges apply Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 5.30pm (except public holidays). Free for blue badge holders.
- Road closures: Holyrood Park roads are closed every Saturday and Sunday. Local roads and car parks may be subject to closures.
- Dogs are not permitted except assistance dogs
