Good to know
- Meeting point: Broad Pavement Car Park, next to the entrance of the car park on the grass verge opposite the car park kiosk (Queens Drive, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh EH8 8AZ)
- Route: St Margaret's Loch/Hunter’s Bog/Volunteers’ Walk/High Road. This may change. Route may not suitable for disabled people - contains rough tracks, uneven and boggy terrain, steep inclines and declines. Please contact the Ranger Service for more information.
- Grade: Moderate
- Age: This walk may not be suitable for children under 12 years
- Bring: Warm/waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. A snack and a drink
- Toilets: are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself
- Parking: Broad Pavement Car Park (off Queen's Drive, next to Holyrood Palace). Charges apply Mon-Fri, 8.30am to 5.30pm (except public holidays). Free for blue badge holders
- Road Closures: Holyrood Park roads are closed every Saturday and Sunday. Local roads and car parks may be subject to closures
- Dogs: are not permitted except assistance dogs
