Visit a true Romanesque relic: an entrance arch of the 1100s, reused as the entrance to a burial vault

Edrom Parish Church stands on a site first granted for worship around 1139 during the reign of King David I.

Although the original church no longer survives, its beautiful entrance arch remains. This doorway, later rebuilt as the entrance to a burial vault (probably in 1732) features striking carved capitals decorated with elegant foliate designs.
