Dunfermline Abbey and Palace

Stained glass window depicting woman wearing traditional clothing in blue.

In light of updated Scottish Government advice regarding Coronavirus we have taken the decision to close public access to our staffed properties and our events have been postponed until further notice. If you would like to keep up to date about our events please sign up to our newsletter.

If you have pre-purchased tickets to visit Dunfermline Abbey for a visit anytime until 30 April, you will receive an automatic refund. Please allow 30 working days for the funds to show on your statement.

Find out about the 'Famous Faces' linked to the abbey nave & palace as part of our family friendly HQExplorer PAST-PORT during Fife Spring holiday.

Pick up your HQExplorer PAST-PORT at any venue in the Heritage Quarter and have fun discovering 'Famous Faces', with quizzes, costumes and crafts. Collect a stamp for your PAST-PORT at each ticket desk when you complete an activity and once you've collected all 3 stamps you'll receive your HQExplorer certificate!

Suitable for families with children age 5+. All young people must be accompanied by an adult. Some areas of the site will have limited access for those with mobility issues.
