Rothesay is the biggest town on the Isle of Bute, and well worth a visit. During the Victorian era, it was developed into a smart seaside resort.

Bute Museum is a great place to explore the archaeology, history, flora, fauna and geology of Bute. It also holds some collection items from Rothesay Castle.

You can find out more with Visit Scotland's Rothesay guide.
