About these summaries

We are committed to openness, transparency and accountability.

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) and the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRs) give everyone the right to request information from public authorities.

These rights help people understand how public bodies make decisions, use resources and carry out their responsibilities.

To make information easier to access, we publish quarterly summaries of all Freedom of Information and Environmental Information responses we have issued.

What these reports contain

Each quarterly report includes:

  • a summary of every FOI and EIR response issued during the quarter

  • the subject of each request

  • an overview of the information provided

  • details of any exemptions or exceptions applied

  • details of requests where we did not hold the information

Together, these reports provide an accessible overview of the information people have requested from us and how we responded.

What isn't included

These reports provide summaries rather than full copies of request correspondence.

We do not publish personal or other information that is exempt from disclosure under FOISA or the EIRs.
