Refurbishment Case Study 14

Wauchope Mausoleum, Edinburgh - Interim Roofing Repairs

Refurbishment Case Study 14

This case study is the first in the series to examine the implementation of interim or temporary repairs offering short term protection to traditional or historic structures threatened by damage. The works undertaken on a small, eighteenth century mausoleum in Edinburgh focused upon replacing the existing roof covering, and removing damaging vegetation. Whilst modest in scope and financial outlay, these interventions successfully secured the immediate future of an otherwise vulnerable structure, allowing consideration of more comprehensive repair schemes in the future.
