Environmental Impact Assessment Handbook

Environmental Impact Assessment Handbook

Our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) handbook offers practical guidance and information to authorities, consultation bodies and others involved in the EIA process.

The aim of this handbook is to make the EIA a more effective process, allow for better-informed decisions and, ultimately, improve environmental protection. It illustrates the treatment of cultural and natural heritage issues with principles that are often widely applicable to other environmental topics.

Although this publication focuses on the EIA process in relation to the town and country planning system, the advice applies to all project types.
