This is a series of case studies that highlight the key areas where our historic environment supports the green principles set out by the Scottish Government and delivers an economic recovery.
These case studies can be used to articulate how the historic environment contributes to the national transition to a low carbon, resource efficient and socially inclusive economy.
The historic environment has a role to play in tackling the climate emergency and realising a just transition to net zero. Find out more about how we contribute to a green recovery in our Statement and how we’re taking climate action now to protect our past for the future.
These case studies have been prepared by Historic Environment Scotland, the lead public body charged with ensuring the historic environment is looked after, protected and managed for generations to come.
