A brass telescope used by the first lighthouse keeper at Kinnaird Head. James Park was hired by the Northern Lighthouse Board in 1787. His direct descendant – also James Park – donated the item to Historic Scotland to mark the opening of Kinnaird Head to the public in May 1995.

The telescope was made around 1780 by Harris and Company, London.
