A brass telescope thought to have belonged to the first lighthouse keeper at Kinnaird Head. James Park was hired by the Northern Lighthouse Board in 1787. His direct descendant - also James Park - donated the item to Historic Scotland to mark the opening of Kinnaird Head to the public in May 1995. Recent research suggests that it may be of a later date.
