Fragment of a cross slab. It is decorated with a few irregular lines, rather than with elaborate interlace. This stone was carved sometime after the ‘Whithorn School’ period. Designs became simpler and more crudely carved, and it seems the exceptional skills of previous generations were lost. On display in the Whithorn Priory Museum, Whithorn, Dumfries and Galloway.
