We are grateful to The Queen for her many years of loyal service and join the rest of the nation in remembering her at this sad time.
The Queen, (the first Queen Elizabeth of Scots, and also more widely known as Elizabeth II), had strong links to Scotland, including many of our properties, and while we are in the period of national mourning we are looking back on her life and commemorating these connections.
As a mark of respect, all Historic Scotland sites will be closed on Monday 19 September, the day of The Queen's funeral. Sites will reopen as normal on Tuesday 20 September.
