The cost of the passenger boat to the island is included in the price. All visitors must go to the ticket office on arrival.
Groups of more than 11 people should book in advance of a visit.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Boat Reservations and Tickets
Due to limited capacity, it is strongly recommended to reserve your visit online to guarantee entry and avoid disappointment.
Historic Scotland Members, Explorer Pass holders and reciprocal members: Entry is free as normal, but you must make a boat reservation in advance to guarantee entry.
Young Scot Cardholder Offer
Young Scot cardholders can receive £1 entry on general admission tickets during 2019 and 2020. Tickets can be bought online in advance or on arrival. Production of a valid Young Scot is required on arrival and applies to the cardholder only. Daily, 10am to 4.15pm (last outward sailing)
1 to 31 October:
Daily, 10am to 3.15pm (last outward sailing)
Monument may close for lunch.
1 November to 31 March
Adverse weather or other reasons beyond our control may cause a site to close at short notice.
