Opening times and getting here

We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe. You will not be able to visit the HES Archives and Library without booking online in advance.

To make a booking, email archives@hes.scot and detail all the material you want to consult. We will check your request and confirm by email the availability of all the material. Please do not make a travel booking until we have confirmed the accessibility of the material.

Do let us know in advance if you cannot wear a face covering or if you need assistance in the building.
