Overview

A particular delight of Scotland’s pubs is their enormous variety. They range from pubs with deceptively simple interiors to late-Victorian extravaganzas. To recognise this rich heritage Historic Scotland has produced the first in a new series of postcard books containing 20 detachable postcards featuring some of Glasgow and Edinburgh’s most historic and beautiful pubs. The pubs included have been chosen because of their fabulous interiors and distinctive interiors which bring a unique character to our lives and streets.
