The Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site Research Agenda

Overview

The 2005 HONO WHS Research Agenda aimed to lead to an improved understanding of the WHS and its setting. Taking a thematic approach, it defined the scope of research around the WHS; outlined the potential of the area to answer research questions; identified gaps in knowledge; encouraged inter-disciplinary research into a broad spectrum of topics within the WHS area and its wider context, research contributing to enhanced management, preservation, conservation and interpretation, and research with wider methodological and/or theoretical applications. In 2013 a revised Research Strategy for HONO WHS was produced. This 2013-18 strategy was designed to be used alongside the 2005 Research Agenda.
