Overview

This case study describes pilot repair and consolidation works to part of the historic harbour of Cove on the Berwickshire coast, in south east Scotland. While the works were relatively simple in concept and modest in scale, they provide some interesting lessons for works on piers in marine locations, and proved essential in order to understand the technical processes that would be deployed at scale for the main works on other parts of the harbour.
