Traditional Buildings Health Check
Overview
In 2013, Historic Environment Scotland and the Construction Industry Training Board (Scotland) funded a 5-year pilot project called the Traditional Buildings Health Check.
The pilot aimed to change the behaviour of Scottish building owners by supporting them to take a more proactive approach to inspecting, maintaining and repairing their buildings. The pilot was designed and delivered by Stirling City Heritage Trust.
The pilot aimed to test whether building owners would join the scheme, would it change their behaviour and what impact would that have on the local historic environment.
This publication describes why the Traditional Buildings Health Check project was established, how it was delivered and sets out the key findings and achievements of the pilot.
