Beta Help us improve: share your feedback on our new website.

We offer a competitive salary and a range of great benefits – as well as more than 400 unique work environments, 77 of which are staffed year-round. Working at HES is an opportunity to use your skills to protect and promote our unique heritage – a big part of what makes Scotland what it is.

We advertise all of our vacancies on our website. We offer full-time and part-time permanent positions, alongside fixed-term contracts and part-year permanent roles on our sites (where you return each summer during our busier months). Not all of our positions require qualifications and we offer apprenticeships, so if you are a school leaver, career changer or simply have never had the opportunity to gain formal training then you may still be a great match.

In order to be selected for interview, you must meet all the essential requirements outlined in the job description. We ask you to upload a CV and a cover letter, which will allow you to give us examples of how you have applied each of the essential criteria. We will also need to meet our basic eligibility criteria and health checks and provide satisfactory references.

Please note that under the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 and in accordance with our Modern Slavery Statement, we require all employees to hold the right to work in the UK.
