Travel and tourism
This facilitated tour of the castle has been designed for learners taking part in the Travel and Tourism National 4 and 5. it is free and takes 60 minutes.
Discover the jobs that keep Edinburgh Castle running as Scotland’s most visited paid tourist attraction. Learners will be given a behind the scenes look at the castle as well as a meet and greet with a member of staff. They will take part in activities which explore the skills and qualities needed to work at a busy tourist attraction.
This tour links with the Employability Unit of Travel and Tourism National 4 and 5. It will cover job profiles of key staff, the skills and qualities required for the role and information on their career progression.
The opportunity to meet various staff members and ask questions relevant to their roles was really well done.”
