This is an emergency
Explore images that show the ways in which our precious planet is threatened by climate change and the impact of this on our historic environment.
Our climate has changed.
Faced with increasingly erratic and extreme weather, the places we know and love are threatened by climate change.
However, not all environments can weather the storm, and large swathes of Scotland will be at risk in the coming decades.
Alongside these places are flooded homes, villages in sudden isolation after landslides, and even the loss our very culture and traditions.
This is an emergency, but through careful monitoring, research and investigation, we can better understand how we can tackle climate change, take action and make a difference.
Before you enter the competition, why not browse the images below or explore submitted entries in the other climate heritage themes.
