HES has become an official stockist of St Andrews Links golf merchandise at Edinburgh, Stirling, St Andrews and Urquhart Castles and online at stor.scot

A man swings a golf club with Edinburgh Castle, a large old stone building, in the background. He wears blue trousers, a green check polo shirt and a blue baseball cap.

Golf has been played at St Andrews Links, the Home of Golf, for 600 years. In 1552 Archbishop Hamilton’s Charter recognised the right of the people of St Andrews to play golf at the Links. It has the oldest course in the world, the Old Course.

Visitors now have the chance to explore a wide range of apparel and golfing accessories, alongside an exclusive collection of St Andrews Links tartan products, created specifically for the Home of Golf and registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans, both online at Stor.scot and at iconic heritage sites such as Edinburgh Castle.

As a charitable trust, all purchases of St Andrews Links official merchandise contribute towards the maintenance of the golf courses, including the world-famous Old Course.

Kevin Liddle, Head of Retail at St Andrews Links Trust, said:

“St Andrews Links is recognised around the world as the Home of Golf and plays an important role in Scotland’s rich tourism industry. Working with Historic Environment Scotland to make our official merchandise available at some of the country’s most iconic heritage sites offers a natural way to engage with visitors, regardless of whether they have the opportunity to visit St Andrews. Every purchase will support the ongoing care and preservation of our courses and iconic heritage sites around the country, ensuring they can be enjoyed for generations to come.”

Natasha Troitino, Head of Retail & Product Licensing at HES, said:

“St Andrews Links is a core part of Scotland’s sporting heritage as one of the oldest courses in the world, with a long history dating back to the 15th century. We’re delighted to be supporting this history as an official stockist of St Andrews Links merchandise across a number of our own iconic heritage sites across the country, as well as on our online shop Stor.scot.”
