Departure of Historic Environment Scotland Chief Executive Officer

Katerina Brown, outgoing Chief Executive Officer commented: 

"It has been my privilege to serve HES over the last two years. Whilst it has been a challenging time of change for all, we have started the journey of transformation with achievements that will provide greater financial sustainability and an increase in skills development across the heritage sector.   With greater transparency and accountability, I am confident that HES will continue on its journey as a leader in the sector and I wish everyone well in doing so."

Across Scotland, we investigate and record architectural and archaeological sites and landscapes and care for more than 300 properties of national importance. HES is also working with sector partners to deliver Scotland's strategy for the historic environment, Our Past, Our Future.
