On Monday’s there will be Renaissance music in the palace. Come along and hear some music first composed in the late medieval and Renaissance periods. Meet the ‘Lauter” and see his wonderful lute, citern and Renaissance guitar.

On Tuesday’s meet the ‘broidster’ and learn of the colourful world of Renaissance embroidery. She will be able to tell you all about life in the court including subject matter such as early black Britons in the Stewart and Tudor courts.

If you’re exploring the area, head to Blackness Castle on Thursday or Friday. You could also travel to one of the other 14 sites around Scotland hosting Living History characters this summer to meet someone else from Scotland’s past.
