Fungi  - but not as you know them

Saturday 14 December 2024

Holyrood Park

An interactive talk on how fungi influence our environment and the profound impact they have had on human culture. You'll be invited to take part in a couple of quizzes as part of the event.

Although the talk will take place indoors, if we have time/weather permits we may go outside the education centre for a few minutes to see some examples of fungi.

Cameron is the chairperson of the Edinburgh & Lothians Fungus Enthusiasts, a group with a focus on raising awareness of fungi and to record fungi in and around Edinburgh, as well as a member of several other Scottish fungus groups. He is also a member of the British Mycological Society and regularly gives talks and guided walks to highlight a different perspective on fungi.

This interactive talk will take place at Holyrood Park Education Centre (1 Queen's Drive, Edinburgh EH8 8HG).
