Fort George is opening its gates this summer to a Living History programme running from the start of July until the middle of August.
You can meet both redcoat and Jacobite soldiers at the impressive Highland fort. Hear from the fort's recruiting seargeant on he selects young men to King George's army and relive a Jacobite's soldier's life and tales of warfare in the 18th century.
You can also meet the fort's craftsment and talk to a Jacobite stonemason about Highland life and working stone in 18th century Scotland or speak to a blacksmith.

Tickets to our sites are free for all children under 16 as part of the Get Into Summer campaign (valid until 17 August). Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
