Urquhart Castle is suitable for:

  • ceremonies
  • receptions (except July and August)
  • photography

This dramatic ruin occupies a uniquely atmospheric setting, on the banks of Loch Ness – Scotland’s most famous loch. Urquhart Castle was once one of the country’s mightiest strongholds, partly thanks to a splendid vantage point from its rocky promontory. Enjoy your own memories and photographs of the magnificent views for years to come, as the backdrop to your big day.

Ceremonies can take place no earlier than:

  • 4pm in summer
  • 2pm in winter

Evening receptions may begin 90 minutes after the castle has closed to the public.
