Treasured Places was a project to celebrate 100 years of the work of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland to record Scotland’s archaeology and buildings.
We selected 100 images from our archives showing places we live, places we work and places we gather.
These included, among other subjects:
- archaeological sites
- industrial buildings
- civil engineering structures
- urban architecture
Members of the public then voted online to pick their top 10 favourite places. The overall winner was a survey drawing of Lady Victoria Colliery, Newtongrange.
